Update on Nathan

Well, we went to see the surgeon this morning. As it turns out, Nathan has a supracondylar humeral fracture, type II. It is not just a regular fracture, nor is it completely broken apart. It is mostly broken apart, with part of it still attached. The doctor said that since he is so young, he should be able to fix it without surgery. Tomorrow morning, we are heading to the hospital where they will put him under, push the bones together and then put a cast on it. Following this, we will go back to the doctor for a follow-up visit to make sure that everything is healing well. This is good as that means that there will be no surgery and no pins in his arms (we hope). Thankfully, he will not have to stay overnight, as one of the doctors thought he might. I will post another update after we get home tomorrow. Thanks for all of your prayers. I know this is not major surgery, but it is still scary to think of my little one being put under, even if it is for his benefit.
